China Successfully Launches Zhongxing-9B Satellite

A new satellite, Zhongxing-9B, was successfully launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province on September 9. The satellite is equipped with specially designed transponders that can support the transmission of 4K and 8K high-definition video programs.

High-level Radioactive Liquid Waste Solidification Equipment Launched

Able to melt glass raw materials and waste into glass, China's first high-level radioactive liquid waste disposal equipment was officially put into use in Sichuan Province on September 11, making China one of the few countries in the world to have acquired such a technique.

HTR-PM Reactor Achieves First Criticality
